"What is the BEST in BALTIMORE?"

It is exactly what it sounds like. We are your navigation to Charm City with all of the new places to go shop, eat, hang out or just relax; it is hard to keep tabs on what's good.

BEST in BALTIMORE is your stop for the best places to wine and dine or get down and dirty on a hay ride. Each week we evaluate different places, whether it is spas, restaurants, shopping or clubs and report the newest hot spot or the oldie but still goodie.

Who holds the title for BEST in BALTIMORE? Feel free to nominate your favorite places, Dj's, Artists, Shows, Museums, or whatever and we will check them out. Who knows your favorite place might just be the BEST in BALTIMORE!

This week is about SPAS. Many state that they have the best spas in Baltimore but I have narrowed it down to the top two for all of your relaxation needs, no matter what part of town you are in.

I'm going to have to go with Zena's Day Spa on Charles Street in Mt. Vernon. It's located on the corner of Chase and Charles. Everything from nails, skin, massages, and hair is reasonably priced (they do manicures for $14 and on Tuesdays they have student specials if you bring your ID card). The staff is amazingly friendly and hip.

One of Zena's strengths and main reasons for winning a "Best of" City Paper award multiple years in a row is it's dedication to multiculturalism. No other salon in Baltimore caters to such a broad clientele. Zena's prides itself on knowing all types of hair and services. For that alone, I nominate Zena's as Best Spa in Baltimore.

ME- the future of all that is awesome... lol said...
